Self-Help Tips:

  • Loose Components: Safely remove and store loose pieces in a plastic bag to bring to your appointment.
  • Poking Braces: Apply soft wax to protruding parts.
  • Shifted Wire: Gently adjust with needle-nosed pliers, or apply wax for comfort.

General Discomfort:

  • Soreness from Braces: Manage initial soreness with soft foods and warm saltwater rinses.
  • Irritation from Braces: Use dental wax on irritated areas as your mouth adapts.
  • Headgear Issues: Wear as directed and contact us for discomfort or misfit.

Appliance Issues:

  • Loose Appliance: Apply wax to secure until your visit.
  • Loose Bracket or Wire: Cover with wax and bring any detached parts to your appointment.
  • Poking Wire: Adjust with a pencil eraser or cover with wax.
